OUR GOAL

​

SOA Co. is an independent, mobile store, dedicated to educating and empowering individuals. We do this by selling books that represent the voices of marginalized communities while emphasizing Black authors.

​

We showcase the literature and artistry of local, national and international talent.

 

Based in Houston, TX, it is also our goal to highlight local, independent authors and build our collective literary community.

OUR MODEL

​

SOA Co. partners with local businesses and community markets across the greater Houston area to set up a short-term pop-up. We also host book signings, virtual events, collaborate with book clubs, and partner with schools. 

​

Every purchase allows us to support underserved communities through volunteerism, reading programs, and book donations (check out our initiatives).
